Mix review tool

The mix review tool for engineers and their clients

Send a mix as one link. Your client streams the lossless file, pins comments to the waveform and approves or asks for changes, with no account. Every round is counted against what you agreed.

How it works

From upload to approved in four steps

  1. 01

    Upload a version

Drop a WAV, FLAC or MP3 into the project's current round. The waveform is drawn in your browser, so it's ready the moment your client opens the link.

  2. 02

    Send one link

Email the project's portal link from Mixrounds. No account for your client, optional password, and you can revoke the link whenever you like.

  3. 03

    Collect pinned feedback

Your client clicks a moment on the waveform and types. Every note lands at its timestamp, threaded, with replies from you in the same place.

  4. 04

    Close the round

Your client approves the mix or requests changes. The round closes, your counter moves, and the next upload opens the next round.

Waveform review

Feedback pinned to the exact millisecond.

Timestamped comments and pinpoint annotations on a lossless waveform. Clients click a point in the track and type; you see it in context.

Revision rounds

Every revision round, counted automatically.

A round is one review-and-approval cycle. Each approval or change request advances the counter, tracked against the rounds in the contract your client agreed to.

Who it's for

Built for people who deliver mixes for a living

Mix engineers

Several songs, several clients, two or three rounds each. Keep every version and note per project instead of across email threads.

Mastering engineers

Short review cycles on full-resolution files, with the approved master and alternates delivered from the same link.

Producers who mix

Send artists one link per record, and keep the agreement, invoice and final files next to the review.

Mix review questions

What is a mix review tool?

A mix review tool is where you share a mix with a client and collect their feedback in one place. The client streams the mix in a browser, leaves comments pinned to exact moments on the waveform, and approves the mix or asks for changes, instead of sending notes by email or text.

Do my clients need an account?

No. Each project has one link. Your client opens it in any browser, listens, comments and approves without signing up. You can add a password to the link and regenerate it at any time.

Which file formats can I upload?

WAV, FLAC and MP3, up to 2 GB per version. Mixrounds doesn't transcode your upload: your client streams the exact file you sent, so they're judging your mix and not a compressed copy.

Can clients download my review mixes?

Review mixes stream in the portal without a download button. When the mix is approved, add the final files to the project's Deliverables (up to 5 GB each) and your client downloads them from the same link.

How are revision rounds tracked?

You set the number of included rounds on the project, and the agreement your client accepts uses the same number. Each approval or change request closes a round and moves your counter. When a request goes past the limit, you decide whether to bill it as a change order.

How much does Mixrounds cost?

It's free during the invite-only private beta. At public launch, plans are $24 a month (Indie) and $39 a month (Pro), with client seats always free. Early members lock in founder pricing.
